Tom turned 23 a few weeks ago and had a big party to celebrate. I made him my special cookie cake which he so elegantly served to his guests from by having them tear pieces off the cake on the tin. Nice. It was good night.

Let me entertain you.

Heather and I went to see the one and only showman extraordinare Robbie Williams. My camera ran out of battery and then broke so I am waiting for some more pics from my memory card but until then some friends we made at the show sent us some. THe show was amazing and i screamed my head off and almost peed my pants. I am not a fan usually but for some reason Robbie brings it out in me. Although I was still shocked when the show ended and there were a group of girls in their 20's crying their eyes out. That is a bit much for me. Heather tried explaining this behavior to me, but I have to say it scares me and I don't understand it.

A walk in Harrow-on-the-Hill
We took a walk on the Hill with Ian's Mum the other day. The weather was lovely and the walk was interesting. Ian had had lunch with his Mum and Ga (grandmother) that week and Ga told him all about growing up in Harrow on the Hill. She used to work at a Hair Dressers very close to our flat and grew up in a house just down the hill from us. On our walk we stopped by the house. Very strange standing in front of what was the childhood home of Ian's 80 year old grandmother. Imagining her playing outside or coming home from school, thinking how different everything must have looked then.
Here are some photos from the walk. I think Ian and his Mum are the hardest two people to photograph. Neither one of them stands still long enough to capture. They are cute though. I can't believe Ian took time out from work to just hang. He had to convince me to come along after lunch I was feeling so lazy.
The view from the Hill
They look like they have seen a ghost.

OK So it has been awhile....
We have finally moved into our digs in Harrow on the Hill, Northwest London. Wooooo Hoooo! We absolutely love it! Seriously I wake up in the morning feeling like I am on holiday. The view is spectacular. Now I am not saying it is the best view, I am just saying it is a beautiful view that we are fortunate enough to get to look at everyday. And the Hill is so quaint and full of history. Just a few yards away from our front door is a 900 year old church. Across the street from our house you can see Wembley Stadium and the skyline of London. Looking out from our flat you are suppose to be able to see Windsor Castle. We have yet to spot it, but are in the process of obtaining a pair of binoculars to help with this.
So here are the photos of our lovely flat in Harrow on the Hill.

Ian on the road
Ian just sent me this photo of him on the road. Well it isn't really of him, he is in the photo. I realized that it probably the first photo I have seen of him when he is away. He doesn't have a camera and hates pictures. I would love for him to take a few shots every trip but I know that will never happen. Maybe I should start asking the other guys to take pictures of him and send them to me. That is a good idea. Oh sorry got lost on that thought. I thought I would share this as I feel there is a lack of Ian photo's on my blog.

Where have all the blogs gone?
I have some blogs of my friends on RSS, but they are never updated? Where are all the posts? Blogs are extremely important to me due to my gypsy lifestyle. I need to know what my friends are up too around the world. Please keep blogging and I will keep checking them.
Something to discuss.......Global Warming.

America the Beautiful

Well once again the 4th of July has hit the calendar and I was lucky enough this year to be in the country. Ian of course was out of the country so another industry wife and I decided to spend the patriotic holiday together. We invited a few other people and a few turned into a total party of 8 americans and one russian. We cooked turkey burgers provided by Nate and Joy and our now customary veggies by Ina and limoncello cheesecake by Missy. Yummy. The night ended with a competitive game of Cranium won by yours truly and Tisha. We discovered that Tisha and I have some cosmic phsychic connection that is powerless against purple clay. It is our chryptonite. We won the game by a land slide with our special powers.
To all my friends and family that weren't here I missed you and love you.
So Happy Independence to everyone I hope it was wonderful and you took a moment to relish in the greatness of our country at this testing time. We aren't perfect but it is a great place to live. You're a grand ole flag!

The Jewel Bar

So I finally got some people to go out in London. Here are the photos from our fun filled evening. Oh and Ian and I got a hotel since we had been staying in the dead people house (Ian's Dads house) as a treat. Using Ian's rock-n-roll connections we got upgraded to a suite. Sweet!

Slacker
Ok, Ok. I know I have not posted in awhile. I have been busy. Get off my back. I have just arrived back in Nashville, well I have been here for a few days after about 3 weeks in England. The first 2 weeks were horrible, mainly due to the weather and the house that dead people live in I was staying. Feezing. Yuck! But the last week it was BEAUTIFUL! If you weren't there I wish you were. Sunny skies and warm. Lovely. So now I am back home well one of my homes and having a great time although Ian is still away and that is not good. But we are working on that. I have loads of photos to show you but haven't transfered them yet so you will have to be patient and wait. Till then.....

What will I do without LOST?
The season finally of LOST aired the other day. I watched it on my computer from iTunes. Wow. What can I say? What an incredible show. I am limited in what I can actually say about the finally as I know some of my readers living in England have not yet seen season two and I would not want spoil anything for them. But I can say stay committed it is worth it. When you are feeling that you cannot deal with one more question being answered with 10 new questions just take a deep breath let it out and stay tuned.
I have been enjoying my time in England, well most of my time. Jon's (Ian's Dad) house is freezing. I think a lot of dead people live there or it used to be a meat locker. I am not kidding you I think sleeping outside would actually be warmer. I bought myself a lovely electric blanket the other day at 5:00am after dropping Ian off at the airport and it has changed my life. I am a much happier healthier person now. Thank you electric blanket I love you.
We saw some of our long lost friends on Sunday in Hemel at a Delirious show. Craig and Emma have been living in Australia for the last 6 months with their two beautiful childrens. Yes I mean childrens. I missed them more than I realized and now I am going back to the US to miss them even more. They are one of the most inspiring couples I know. Part of the reason I am pursuing my music and writing is because if their support and encouragement. Ian said about them that Sunday as we drove home "They do a good job of staying out if the rat race." He went on to say how he would like to stay out of the race more than he does. So thank you Craig and Emma for being extraordinary, loyal, and inspiring.

First Monday

Did you know there is a huge flea market the first weekend of every month called first Monday in Canton, Tx? Last weekend my Mom took me to it. It is billed as the largest flea market in the world. I am not sure how official that is but I will say that it is a huge market. My Mom's friend Jody and her husband own a cute little lake house which is 15 min from the market. Mom has been going down there almost every month I think and has been so excited to take me down there. The actual market is made up of more than 5 giant warehouses and covered pavillions lined with rows and rows of stuff for sale. Some is crap, but some of it is really nice. I can see why my Mom enjoys it. We had some quality mother daughter time and got some good bargains. All and all a great weekend.
I want to take Ian there to eat at Bubba Jeans. A place where everything is fried including aligator. He'll love it.

Dining Out

The other night Tony and Tish came over for dinner. Tom cooked his famous pasta dish acquired from a real Italian that used to be his girlfriend. I am determined this summer to live outside a little more and this was our first attempt. Since then the weather has been crap. I am hoping it will change soon and I will be back in the great outdoors again.
