Yesterday was my birthday so Ian took me out to Tsunami. We met Heather there who flew home from Dallas for the special day. What a friend!

These are the earrings Ian bought me for my Birthday. He is the best at buying jewelry. I am so lucky to have him and feel so privileged to receive such nice things.
We got all dressed up for our night out. Doesn't my Mom's new living room look fabulous?

Let it snow..

Since I have been here in Tulsa the weather has been beautiful. No need for my heavy coat I lugged all the way from London and a chance to break out the leggings and flats again. Yay! But my enjoyment of the sun warming my skin was short lived due to a blizzard that is sweeping across the country. Well at least sweeping through Texas and Oklahoma. It is now a winter wonderland. I can't believe how much snow has fallen in such a short amount of time. Today my Mom and I bundled up and ventured out in the powdery white blanket that covered the ground. Love it!

One is the lonliest number

Last night I went to a movie by myself for the first time in my life. What an experience. Actually it was great! I have really grown up I guess. I think it was the first time I have ever walked to a movie also. There is a great movie theater in walking distance from our flat in Harrow on the Hill and until last night I hadn't been. So really it was a night for three firsts.
The movie I saw was The Prestige starring two of my favorite actors Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. What a show! I won't go into detail because it will give it away. The less you know about this movie before seeing it the better it will be. Hopefully I will be blogging more when I get my camera fixed, but until then I will try and take more photos with my phone. I have been busier than normal so the blogging has slowed I am afraid, but I have recently found out more people than I thought read my blog so now I will make more of an effort to write them.

My camera is broken!!!!
Ok my camera has been broken for awhile, but I went to see Gnarls Barkley last night and I wanted my freakin' camera! But no it is broken and I have to wait till I get to Tulsa to get it fixed because England is so bloody expensive it would cost about the same price as the camera to get it fixed. I really miss it. Can you tell?
Anyway just wanted to get that off my chest and then say that I think Scrubs is a brilliant show and I am not sure why, but when I am home alone watching TV as I keep finding my self lately I cry at everything. Even Scrubs. It is the strangest phenomenon. For those two for you who actually read this blog you know that I am not a crier. I pride myself on not being a crier. Crying is for babies and Heather. Just kidding Heather. Heather has managed over many years to somewhat convince me that crying is OK. I am about half way to being a full believer. So this whole crying alone over stupid TV programs has really perplexed me. I think it is the being on my own, Then no one can seem cry and think I am weak. I have some real issues. I blame my Dad. Just kidding Dad. I love ya.

Reading is fun.
I have just finished two fantastic books on faith, what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and social justice. One was written by a friend of mine Craig and is called God's Gravity. I really reccomend giving it a read. Hopefully it will be encouraging as well as challenging.
The other one is by a man named Rob Bell called Velvet Elvis. Now you don't have to be an Elvis fan to like it. HE is only mentioned in the first few pages. This one is excellent if you have a troubles with western Christianity. Not only educational, but entertaining. He is well informed and writes simply. Also is a short one.

£1000.00 Belt

I was a blonde Elvis wearing a £1000.00 belt and £400.00 shoes. It's not true by the way that expensive heels are more comfortable. Well not Alexander Mcqueen ones anyway. Aside from the heat and the shoes I had a fantastic time, got to work with some really lovely girls and got to preform which is what I love.

A day in the life of a hair model.

Reading magazines, my bum going numb, heat on my head, , more magazines, getting sleepy, my bum so numb I think I am going to have to have electric shock treatment to get the feeling back, playing with my phone, boredom, and more bad gossip magazines. Five and half hours later my inch long dark roots are gone!

A day in the life of a Delirious tour rehearsal..

Mic check...1,2...check check...
Ian taking his commanding pose on stage while they are working out how to make Jon 's head stop glowing.
Up at the top of the ladder is Wolfgang risking his life. He is charge of video for this tour. He has never toured before. He speaks at least 3 languages.
Radios are a important part of touring. In this photo Tom is helping Lee run his ear piece wire up his shirt. Good job Tom way to be helpful.

The night this photo was taken we were suppose to go to a 70's Fancy Dress party in Little Hampton, but are plans were foiled when Ian worked too late and forgot to pick up the car from the MOT Garage. They locked in our little Golf for the night. So it was a train ride home for Ian and no party for either of us. Boohoo. We watched the new episode of LOST instead.

Happy Birthday Tommy

Tom turned 23 a few weeks ago and had a big party to celebrate. I made him my special cookie cake which he so elegantly served to his guests from by having them tear pieces off the cake on the tin. Nice. It was good night.

Let me entertain you.

Heather and I went to see the one and only showman extraordinare Robbie Williams. My camera ran out of battery and then broke so I am waiting for some more pics from my memory card but until then some friends we made at the show sent us some. THe show was amazing and i screamed my head off and almost peed my pants. I am not a fan usually but for some reason Robbie brings it out in me. Although I was still shocked when the show ended and there were a group of girls in their 20's crying their eyes out. That is a bit much for me. Heather tried explaining this behavior to me, but I have to say it scares me and I don't understand it.

A walk in Harrow-on-the-Hill
We took a walk on the Hill with Ian's Mum the other day. The weather was lovely and the walk was interesting. Ian had had lunch with his Mum and Ga (grandmother) that week and Ga told him all about growing up in Harrow on the Hill. She used to work at a Hair Dressers very close to our flat and grew up in a house just down the hill from us. On our walk we stopped by the house. Very strange standing in front of what was the childhood home of Ian's 80 year old grandmother. Imagining her playing outside or coming home from school, thinking how different everything must have looked then.
Here are some photos from the walk. I think Ian and his Mum are the hardest two people to photograph. Neither one of them stands still long enough to capture. They are cute though. I can't believe Ian took time out from work to just hang. He had to convince me to come along after lunch I was feeling so lazy.
The view from the Hill
They look like they have seen a ghost.

OK So it has been awhile....
We have finally moved into our digs in Harrow on the Hill, Northwest London. Wooooo Hoooo! We absolutely love it! Seriously I wake up in the morning feeling like I am on holiday. The view is spectacular. Now I am not saying it is the best view, I am just saying it is a beautiful view that we are fortunate enough to get to look at everyday. And the Hill is so quaint and full of history. Just a few yards away from our front door is a 900 year old church. Across the street from our house you can see Wembley Stadium and the skyline of London. Looking out from our flat you are suppose to be able to see Windsor Castle. We have yet to spot it, but are in the process of obtaining a pair of binoculars to help with this.
So here are the photos of our lovely flat in Harrow on the Hill.

Ian on the road
Ian just sent me this photo of him on the road. Well it isn't really of him, he is in the photo. I realized that it probably the first photo I have seen of him when he is away. He doesn't have a camera and hates pictures. I would love for him to take a few shots every trip but I know that will never happen. Maybe I should start asking the other guys to take pictures of him and send them to me. That is a good idea. Oh sorry got lost on that thought. I thought I would share this as I feel there is a lack of Ian photo's on my blog.
